King George the third coin

Can anyone help identify this coin and how old it might be

Nice clear cropped pics of both sides and weight would help in identifying coins.
Yours looks like a George lll halfpenny from 1770-1775...but these were heavily counterfeited at that time and many years afterwards

Better pictures with good natural light would be a big help. Before you upload a picture blow it up first, if it is out of focus when blown up it doesn't do much good to post it if you are asking what something is or if something is authentic.

Yes I'd love to see the reverse - the obverse looks very similar to a Machin's Mills / Vermont mule known as the Ryder 31.

The back of the coin is in bad condition almost completely smooth I’ll try to get better pictures

Yes I'd love to see the reverse - the obverse looks very similar to a Machin's Mills / Vermont mule known as the Ryder 31.

The back is all smoothed out just a few letters on the rim trying to clean it up a little more

BTW the contemporary counterfeits can be worth more than the mint struck ones.

Well, that is what I get for replying when I don't really have time to look, you are correct! Great ID and thanks! The obverse die was also used with the regular Brittania reverse dies however, so there are still different varieties it could be. Hopefully Joe77 will post the reverse and there is enough detail to ID it.
