King Me?, R.O.T.C. Badge...

Leon · Jun 15, 2007

Hello all,,,
After hearing of the (3)cent piece being found at the cache site I haven't been able to stay away from it. Still no old coins lately, other than a 46 wheat, but I did manage a few more trinkets. The first item, I believe, is possibly a hat badge? It measures, " 2-18 x 1-1/8 " and seems to be made of copper with a gold gilding. I hate to be a pest, but any help with an ID on it would be greatly appreciated. I tried the google thing and after looking at a few thousand different badges I still had no luck with an ID...

The next item is a R.O.T.C. badge from Arsenal Technical High School. You can see a pic of the arsenal, that's on the badge, at this site: http://www.athsalumni.org/

The back side of both...

Good luck, & Happy hunting~

I think the crown is the top portion of a ribbon badge worn by one of the Knights of Honor of the Royal Arcanum fraternal order. Note the two lines on the back: the top one, where the pin was attached; and the bottom one for the ribbon bar. Some have "1105" inside the crown; some don't. Compare it to the badges at:

And to these on eBay:

Thanks guys,,,
And Thankyou, again, PBK for another great ID... Your knowledge and ability to ID just about anything I can throw out there simply amazes me...

I thought about a ribbon, and possibly the other piece to go with it while I was recovering it, but didn't see, or hear a peep out of either. I might go back and widen my search area to try and find the other piece...
Thanks again...

P.S.> I hope you don't mind, but I left a "Special Thanks" to you on my website...
