Could be broken on the end. If it is then it would of been longer and would of been a knife.
 

I may be wrong but it looks like a preform for something, I don't see any finish chipping that you see on most scrapers and I don't see what you would see for a knife, but like I said I could be wrong. It's a good find for sure:occasion14:

i agree
i think it's an unfinished piece
it looks like it was reduced to about the desired size but never completed for some reason
it's still cool in my book
 

Found another similar one. Has another hump on the back and square shape. Also maybe a spokeshave or 2?

I find a lot of those, they appear to have been in the process of being worked but were broken in the process and tossed.
 

They are both worked all the way around and appear to have a good bit of wear and tear
