Easier to reroll when you unroll, one roll out of a wrapper then into a new wrapper, no counting needed.

Yeah, but I pull out the copper so I can't really do that. I do that with dimes, nickels, quarters, and halves.

Unroll about 5 rolls, remove copper, put aside zincs in pile, then use zinc pile to replace coppers from rolls as you go & repeat. Much faster way if u gotta reroll.

Good point if you are doing pennies and pulling out a lot of coins.
You chould get one of those plastic coin counting tube things, it eliminates counting and you can wrap them from it, just pour coins in it till it's full then slide an open wrapper down over the coin, pull full wrapper out, crimp ends and done.

They only cost a buck or two.

That probably would be a lot faster. Do you think walmart sells them?

I just bought a pack from Walmart that has a quarter, a dime, a nickel, and a penny tube for 4 bucks. I will post a picture when I get home. They work pretty well. It's a very cheap solution.

And they will last forever.

I think the best thing to do with pennies is to ship 'em off with bags, BoA will do this. with halves I can't have the money tied up, but with pennies it's no big deal

I guess it varies by area, I can't get any banks around here (BOA included) to do bags.

man, if i had to roll my own coin, i would be done... kudos to you!

My sister bought me a nice coin sorter from Wal-Mart for my birthday. I sort my pocket change with it and I use the tubes specifically for this purpose during CRHing.

I just picked up the tubes at Walmart bought them and got a wheat penny in change! 1941! Nothing special, but better than a zinc! I'm going to see how well the tube thing works. It probably will be A LOT faster instead of stacking them out.

It's kind of tricky at first to get the wrappers to slide down all the way on the coins the first try, but after you do a few you'll get the nac of it.

Nice!

Make sure that the bank wants you to bring in re-wraps, most of the banks I go to the tellers will take CWRs but unless I'm in that afternoon when it gets slow they just get a bucket and dump them all in there and run them through the sorter because they aren't always accurate and businesses don't like CWRs and other than a couple of CRHers and the person wanting quarters for the car wash, rolled coin only goes to businesses.

I guess it all depends on what area you are in. Most banks here don't have coin machines, Copper-C you should find out if yours does.

There are 3 branches with coin counters in my town, but my mom won't let me open an account at the bank which has 2 of the branches with coin counters. She says 2 banks is enough...not really. So I've taken like $300 in cents to the other branch, Huntington, with the coin counter, and I'm just going to wrap them and take them to a different branches to give them a break for a while.

Yeah, will be better when you can get more banks. I use around 40 banks in rotation to dump.

Yeah I really need firstmerit because it seems like half of the banks in my area are first merit. I can open a checking account at Chase when I'm 17 without a parent or gaurdian on the account. I wish I could at least open a savings or something without a parent at first merit.
