L.M. & B. 1870s railroad baggage tag

L.M. & B. 1870's railroad baggage tag

OK...I have been trying to find information on this item and it was suggested to me by another TN member to post it here in today's finds so here it is...


Dug this tag and can't seem to find other examples from this railroad online yet.

From what I have found the L.M. & B. was the La Fauette, Muncie, and Bloomington railroad and operated from 1869 to 1879 when they sold to the Lake Erie & Western line so I'm guessing the tag dates to 1870's. I'd like to see some other examples from this line to see if I'm correct on the date for the tag. Some of these baggage tags can be pretty collectible if they're pre 1900's I guess. TIA for any info!
