🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Lady Liberty sash buckle? Looks like the liberty bust on early 1800's large cent.

Found in an area that produced Colonial and early US coins etc. Engraved brass with some residual silver plating. 2 3/8" x 1 7/8".

Based on the width of the tongue and the style I’d say post CW.

Thanks BB, My initial thought after cleaning it up was that it had a manufactured look.Your timing estimate seems likely. Just have not seen anything like it and I have doing this for quite awhile. Still hope someone has seen the same or similar and knows it's story.
