Spent last week sharing a cabin with the extended family at Lake George. It's a step up from camping. Only brought the minimum gear, Excal, hand scoop, mask and snorkel. I am used to the beaches in Florida. Free diving to the bottom of a cold lake and digging in the hard muck with a hand scoop, with no leverage, was an entirely new experience. The swimming area was filled with lots of kids but few adults. Found plenty of clad for such a small area and 2 kids rings. Nothing older than 1965, about the year the place was built. Had a great time but if we ever go again a wet suit and long handle scoop is a must.
