A few years ago I traveled up to lake superior with my family. I went pretty deep in the water, and stepped on something. I picked it up, and it looked like a part of a trident or some kind of fishing spear. I personally think it is one of my coolest relics to date, and I didn't even need my metal detector! I'm not sure what it is but if anyone can ID it, I would really appreciate it.

I agree, looks like part of a fishing spear. I've used spears smaller for hunting bullfrogs up north.
 

I would say it is part of a spear, hard to say how old it is!

I think it's part of a spear used for Sturgeon, look on youtube for videos of them doing it through the ice. Pretty cool!
