LARGE CENT,2 CENT & MY 1ST COMPLETE KNEE BUCKLE

after a small painting job took a cruise up to a cellar hole me & sniffy hit awhile back.
last visit there i got a matron head & sniffy got a real ornate cloak button.seemed pretty quiet last time we were there and after a few hours packed it in.
the site is narrow close to rd up on a hill.
today was a shocker & never expected this stuff to pop out
up on a small incline leading up to where i think outhouse was all this stuff came from that area.i kicked downed branches aside and VOILA paydirt!
a nice 1837 matron head large cent(looks like a die crack going through stars),,a 1865 2 center,a holed blank what i think is a copper?
a designed pewter button (with a tombac style coned shank) and last but not least my 1st complete knee buckle.was a sweet 4 hour aftrenoon hunt for sure!
not sure if i can count the holed copper disc as a copper about the same thickness & diameter as a braided hair LC

The largie is in fine shape Dave ! as well as the two center And the intact 18th century breech buckle is spectacular It is funny strange not funny ha ha that some days signals just jump right out at you ! M.R.

Nice haul for a hunted site. Love the 2 cent. We will need cleaned close ups of the holed "copper" the hole is a bit centered and too round for my taste. Oh what the hay you are too far ahead on coppers to nit pick now whats one more?

Nice old Shield Coin !
( what do you think of the 'new' shield cent design :P )
that buckle is fantastic! still looking for one myself
'Fancy' cast pewter buttons are a rare find, that's a nice basketweave and a first seen
of that design (in pewter) for me, I found one with a different design & it drew some interest from across the pond.
I see your other copper has a ring around the hole, let us know if anything else shows up

thanks! at 1st sight i thought the button was a tombac but you can plainly see from an edge chip that its pewter.it held up well for being pewter usually they are toast in the grond that long.i gave it a coating of hairspray to seal it.

Very nice! And I see that you are using a Silver Eagle, out here in Denver people laugh at me for occasionally
still using mine. "It's heavy, it's old"
And when I go back east, people want to buy it from me.
I still think it's the best detector for any copper.
Keep killing them up in CT.
