Hi all
Got out for a couple hours today.Found a 1929 largie in pretty poor shape.I also found
a dime sized silver piece. You can't see it in the photo but there is writing around the
outside.I can't make out what it says but it's definately there. This is about dime size and
very thin. It's probably wishful thinking on my part, but it looks kind of like a new england
tree coin.Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks alot and happy hunting
Barry.

I assume you mean 1829 and not 1929. Nice coronet largie. I cant really see any detail on the silver coin. I'll look again though. Nice finds.

I can see the dotted inner circle, I hope your right. I don't think spanish but it must be of that kinda age

WAAHOOO, Barry Dude, the great hunter from Upstate NY and a good buddy of Derek752!!!!! :icon_salut:

Barry, that 1829 coppa and small silver coin are AWESOME!!! :notworthy: :headbang: :notworthy: It could easily be a New England tree coin, buddy! :wav: With all of the history up in your state, there is a high chance that it is indeed one! :notworthy:

You and D. are two great hunters and I love to see both of your GREAT finds! :occasion14: :wav: :occasion14:

Keep those Colonial finds a coming, fellow Colonial-seeking amigo!!! :occasion14:

Barry, You had a spectacular day there. I am intrigued by your silver coin. It seems similar looking to my German 1806 6 Kreuzer. I would love to see this coin identified.
Chris

If the silver coin is thin, and about dime-sized (with no reeded edge) it is most certainly a Spanish Half Real from the 1700s.

FANTASTIC.

Could we see close-up photos of both sides of the silver coin?

Nice couple hours hunt, congrats on the LC and good luck on the silver coin ID WTG
