Every time I go yard sailing near my in-laws place, I always drive by a particular neighborhood that has some huge (and old!) homes in case a sale is being held.
This weekend they held a mini community sale and my first stop netted me all you see pictured. I had to wait while they brought out more stuff but is was all treasure. The art, furniture, flat wares etc.
Everything I bought should be silver except the teapot. It looks like silverplate but the hallmark would really help to unlock its secrets. Even if it is plate, it has 3D peonies and crazy amounts of detail on it.
The valet tray is gorgeous and I plan to keep it. It also has a mark I can?t decipher but I?m hoping somebody here can read it.
Most of the rest is German or English with 1 piece of Indian mixed in.
The mahjong set is old and made of Bakelite. It looks complete but I?ll have to verify. They had 4 others but they were newer
Watches were brought out after asking and weren?t that exciting. I?ll keep the Seiko since it?s mint and fits my giant wrists. The Tag needs a cleaning/battery but should clean up nicely.
