Large Great Basin Paleo Lind Coolee

[GB Paleo]

This is a PF Lind Coulee of mine found on private property in the northern Great Basin. One of my all time best points.

Great to see obsidian worked in what is a noticeably different way than my area in nor cal. I wonder what ‘glass mountain’/source it came from. Workmanship!

Lind Coulee is the point type and it came from the southeastern area on the attached ID map

Interesting that there are 3 types of this point noted. all specifically mention shoulder details, but none call out Barbed Shoulders.

I assume the Point then was named after the Find Site:

I believe it would be typed as a Type 2 which has more pronounced shoulders....JMO

I am getting real tired of "smoke season" . The drive between Susanville and Shasta is a burnt out mess in spots. Great point however! how long ago did you find it?
