I picked this up at a local flea market in upstate NY. It appears to have been dug and peaked my interest. I did a quick search but didn't come up with anything significant.

It measures about 2.25" wide by 2" tall.

Anybody here have any ideas?

Thanks

I collect vintage Vegas items but I'm not too familiar with this. They use Vegas Vic on the fob so it has to be post 1950. It looks like the top of his shirt is solid. It was checkered throughout the 1950's and 1960's then painted solid throughout the 1970's to late 1990's. Based on that, I would say the fob is probably from the mid to late 70's. I'm not familiar with Dollar-Market so it's probably just a typical gift shop type store from that era. That's my guess anyway.

Thanks customx. That makes sense. Its still odd that it is numbered and mail-able as a mailbox key is mail-able

Yeah, I don't quite get the numbered thing either. Maybe they rented out mailboxes sort of like P.O Boxes? It's certainly odd.

Or they had storage lockers. You know... drop in a quarter and lock your stuff while you shop.
