Last Chance Before The Beans

Hi TN diggers , Farmer John gave me the word that the field gets planted and that's it until the Fall . Started hitting the field early this past week for what will be my last hunts here . Always find something after the plows but of course there will be damaged relics in the mix . Found a 1723 Woods Hibernia , 1747 Spanish half real , and a 1775 King George III " Machin Mills" counterfeit , 69 IH , . variety of buttons , gilt , plated , London , double gilt back marked , a 17th cent. blowhole button , a few rivets .. one buckle with rivets intact on leather . Hey MR I'll save you some time .. here's close re cap total from that field .. started in April and a few hunts in May .. lots of stuff .. low replies no interest in this so I'll go back to the tot lot stuff and thats fine with me you know what kills me .. I find a lot people . I usually don't post newer coins I get out in these fields , so here are some IHs , 14 wheats , 3 nickels , Canadians , ..

So... What was there in the past that so many coins and buttons were left behind? What caused you to pick the field for yourt hunt? Just curious about your research methods.

With finds like that it is a bummer to go to tot lot, schools, parks and such. I love summer but it keeps me out of places I like to hunt. I never post new coins because I don't want to bore anyone with a bunch of dirty old clad I dig up. I do seem to dig a lot of it though.

Thanks Dawg but it was easy to catch up on your finds from your threads started on your profile page . I would have loved to spend a day with you on that goose poop field . A very interesting and productive site . I have stopped posting on this site because I am pretty much blackballed on here now . If I found the holy grail I would not make banner and would be accused of some kind of fraud LOL Maybe someday we will get a hunt in together . If you ever come to Maine on Va Ca please contact me ! UPDATE 5,23,,12 : Goose Field

Thanks and Hi TommNJ.. Last few hours out in that field .. now off limits until harvest .. Apex ometer with bakelite knob , gold plated clock face , pocket watch case , rr stuff found in pile along side of tillable area , 3 tootsie toys found in same hole , best Indian I ever dug came from this site ! Excuse some of my pics .. lost my camera in a local store that I patronize every day .. day later I saw a cashier showing pics to other worker ,same exact camera { 8 year old silver Kodak } , and says it was her camera , I asked her if I could see it and she refused , .. now using an even worse cheapo. Hats Off to those who were KIA .. In Memory of Family member PFC Frank , KIA Brest , France 8,26 ,1944 Enjoy Your Freedom this Memorial Day Weekend dawg
