Last couple days of hunts - 1940's token and an old radio premium pin.
Due to my being scheduled to work over the weekend, I didn't get much time to hunt and about the only neat thing I found was a flashy-looking wristwatch that was in some tall grass. (A cheap one too!) Put a new battery in it and it worked just fine.
I did have Monday off and the weather was fine so I went out to hit my favorite spot and see if it will allow me to take home some more cool items. I started out with some clad and misc. junk and then found my first indian head penny! (Very cool!) I think I got more excited over the IH than I did when I dug the Morgan! LOL! Went home to have some lunch and my friend wanted to go out and give it a try this afternoon - so we went over to the local park and worked on some basic stuff. After this got boring quickly, we headed back to my spot where he dug up a bunch of clad and a pot pipe. (I guess some disreputable people used this area in the past. LOL)
I managed to snag three wheats, some more tokens, a 1930's radio show pin and an interesting advertising coin from the 1940 Saint Paul Winter Carnival. The sun was getting low and we decided to call it a day. Just before I went inside, I turned my detector on and set it down on the grass. It let out a signal and I dug up a 1927 wheat righ on my front steps! Nice way to end the afternoon.
