Relic Hunting
I’ve been recovering from my second knee replacement surgery in 2 years, so I haven’t been detecting much lately. But now I’m feeling better and over the past few weeks I got out onto 3 fields that I have permission to hunt. I found a crotal bell, a clay marble, an early one-piece flat button and assorted overall rivets. I was also surprised to see the horseshoe was still where I left it 10 years ago when I first detected this site.

Thanks very much for looking,
Dave

PS. I got pretty excited when I saw the round copper disk in the hole, thinking it was an early Half Penny. It was only after I cleaned it, that I discovered it was a 2006 US Quarter. :laughing7:

That picture of the post with the horse shoe nailed on it might be a GOOD spot to do more research below it :)

I agree with Gare on this about digging close o the post with the horse shoe on it plus close to where any cloths drying line would have been.
Thanks for your post my friend. :occasion14:
I actually put the horseshoe there in 2014 when I first detected this site.

Cool finds from a very cool looking old house !
Thanks E-Trac, it truly hurts my heart to see these 'old stonies' abandoned like this. :sadsmiley:

Thank you my friend, it's nice to be able to walk in the fields again... even if I can't get on my knees to make a recovery anymore.
Hope you're doing well these days,
Dave
