The picture was in better shape when i first found it, i give it to a friend to keep for me. 10years later this is way way it looks, i very hopeful i can save as much as it can, working on the history at the moment

Those Old Timers were smarter than us. Prisons were not near bout as full back then as they are today. Your wife and kids could walk the streets in relative safety and not be subjected to foul language or disrespect.

A closer look shows how scrawny they are. They were evidently not migrate farmers.
They probably were not strong enough to live very long.

The old timers were not necessarily smarter. You can read many accounts of the wrong people getting blamed for something and being hung or starved to death in prison. Some were hung or severely disabled because their religious beliefs, skin color, or creed were not exactly like the majority in the community. Lots of evil around.

Well Bluegrassriver, your response may be correct to a minor degree. One with a liberal viewpoint would agree with your assessment whole heatedly. Unfortunately there is not a 100% method to sort out the wrong from right. My Conservative viewpoint is make the best a judgement call with the facts presented and take corrective action.

Thanks for all your feed back guys, I'm researching the photo, and found the name of the person hung. His name is believed to be Simmon Bush, and i think his crime was stealing horses... Thanks everyone, I'll post more info once Ive acquired it.
