Same 1906 bird whistle in both pics . Reminds me of pot metal or what an older cap gun would be made of .

Good stuff. The bird and the shovel would make my day. I wonder what the shovel was for? Maybe a toy? Is there any writing on it?

No writing on the shovel , I trimmed down a chop stick for the handle . The bird is a child's toy whistle from the early 1900s , not a pipe .That is a rot hole on its head .
