Late 1800's Glasses?

Hey everyone I received these from an old timer that lives here. They appear to be quite old. The case ,which I believe is original, is made of like a cardstock type paper similar to cardboard. It is lined with a black paper which in gold print says "The Williams & Rodgers Co." Below that i believe it says "Clinical Dent. Cleveland O." The glasses themselves seem to be silver plated as no oxidation is present. There are no markers on it and the metal is rather thin compared to glasses of today. Any help would be appreciated. :)

The above pair was shown as circa 1880. Looks almost like yours.

They do look pretty similar. Have you ever heard of that company?

Williams & Rodgers Co appears to have been the retailer, rather than manufacturer: "williams & rodgers co" - Google Search
The first several articles I see in the search are from 1902-1907, but I haven't looked any deeper to find out how long before that they were operating.
I believe it says Clinical Dept. (department of their store). Maybe optical instead of Clinical?

Perhaps it says optical I'll have to take a better look. Its faded on that section. And thanks for looking into it!

The glasses do appear to be very old and I have seen some very similar at Civil War shows with cases like that. Welcome to Treasurenet by the way.
