Late 1800's stirrup. (Picture of buckle, and rivit added)
I thought I might be able to handle the heat a little better, but one hour told me different. I did find one thing in this hour. found a saddle stirrup dating between 1850 to 1899. It was hand forged in the late 1800's. These stirrups are very hard to find that were made in this time period. I found the information on this one on ebay. Someone has a pair of them for sale. When I get my strength up i'm going to go back, and try to find more of the saddle. I did find a buckle, and rivit with the stirrup. Maybe there will be more of it there. That little trip to the hospital is still working on me. so I will have to take it easy, and do little at a time for a while. Hope you enjoy.
The Pair of stirrups came from ebay. They are exactly like the one I found.
This buckle, and rivit was found with the stirrup. The rivit was in the circle of the stirrup. It still has leather in it.
