hit a new drainage today. didnt take long to get my first piece, but i soon realized this place has been hammered very hard. the diggins was miles long. it seemed like every draw has been mined. but the lack of targets and many, many scrapes and creviced bedrock told me this place used to be a honey hole. the sdc did manage to pull up quite a few dinks. i ran it on #4 and was blown away at the itty bitties it was hitting very load on. 20180703_131809.jpg

I don’t hunt gold but it looks like you did well there B.B.! It’s the same with us coin hunters, were ALL late to the show, but there’s always something left! How much is debatable, but it’s never ALL gone.
I’d love to nugget hunt, just don’t live anywhere near any nuggets!:hello:

i ended up with 1.8 grams for the morning. i have something metallic rolling around inside my coil.... not happy about it, but its still under warranty. so ill be without ol' faithful while its getting fixed. this is a perfect place for the gpx and my large coil, lots of piles to go through. i have never had any luck on piles, but i know some people have. when you do get one, its usually a really nice one.
