latest find and unknown item

Hey folks, west FL coral point here , nice find sticking half out of the ground long ways after some good rains. Gotta a little piece of something here as well not sure what it is(if anything) but it has an obvious groove of some sort on it and it was found in a spot where I do pretty well at. The piece is very small, hope you guys have some thoughts on it and thanks for looking.

Great point, can you tell if it's bone, stone or pottery? (The mystery object.)

I really cant tell it is so small, but does not have the same look,feel as the pottery I have found around here of three diff types this little piece does not look like any of them.
