Found this lead bar today and didn't think much of it because this is the second one I've found. But after taking a closer look, I saw numbers stamped on the bar.

These three other lead pieces-- one looks to be a fishing weight, one looks like cut lead & the other is a blob of lead.

The cap I found looks to be bronze and is threaded on the inside. Any thoughts on any of the items?

now it looks like there may be something hidden on one. The small one looks like the rat.

The bar with numbers could be a wheel / tire balancing weight. (Probably automotive?)
It's curved slightly, which would seem to support this thoery.
But, maybe someone here will know definitely?

Can't help much with the cap. :dontknow:

In my yard... where I have found Civil War bullets, grapeshot, horse shoes, mid to late 1800's era stuff. I also find stuff from the 40s.

I actually think the lead bar might just be a lead ingot from when the house was built in 1939. The lead ingots and bars I've seen from the Civil War look a bit different to me and some have writing on them.

The number on the bar is "24" which might mean it's a 20th Century piece but again, I'm not sure.

I saw the 4 and what looks like 65. But this may be more than what it look like. I see a little more than just lead and a cap. If you look at my pic. That I zoomed in on. It looks like there is a triangle or two on it. Very faint looking.

the cap with the threads inside were used on old cars. you fill it with greese screw it on, ( example a distributor) every so often you turn it in to apply more greese to lube the shaft.
