Found near a Revolutionary War Fort. About 3.75 inches long, exactly the same as both sides. Lead.

If it has a loop missing at one end, I would say fish net wieght

Its odd but it looks like a Lead sling bullet.

There was no loop on it, at least, there it doesn't appear to ever have had a loop.
