Found this on a dig on Sunday. It's oval and lead and is 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide. I threw it in my trash pouch and didn't see the profile of the woman until I rinsed it off. The area dates back to the late 1600's and the last structure was on the site around 1920. Would love some input from the TNET faithfull. image.webp

Could have been part of a broach and could have has silver, gold or a white coating at some point. I don't know.

I would guess Victorian era - late 1800's - cameo brooch. Maybe pewter?

Item is about a quarter inch thick. Heavy for its size. Might be pewter but rang up like lead so assumed it's lead.

Since it's 4" x 3", I'd think it was more likely the back to a hairbrush or hand mirror.

I second the Victorian era

Not sure it’s a Hairbrush due to its 3” x 4” given dimension
I think it is a hand held vanity mirror

See below for proportional example of a hand mirror 3”x4”

Good call on this wing a mirror. Dimensions are spot on. Appears to be queen Catherine of France from what I can find.I'll keep working on finding a date for it. Thanks
