I would have sworn that the smaller buckle was silver...I hate those things!

Great finds again.

Liking that Rosette
I got a similar, but coming from an ashdump, condition was terrible :(
Congrats

To each his own, but I would think with 200 ? or so leads you probably found this year, and only one bell it was the bell that made the day. Then again I like finding bells, I want a larger one.

Anyway 40 lbs. is a bit of a milestone, yep that's a lot of em.....guess 927

Yeah, I was happy with the bell...I've got over 20 of them in all sizes and I'm trying to think up a way to display or make use of them.

No idea of how many musket leads I have now but I'm going to make a winter project of separating them by caliber and making a display of the best...balls, Sniders, Enfields and ringers...

I have a lot of holes to dig to get up to 40 lbs of lead! Most of my sites have a few scattered here and there but no real concentrations. Bells are a cool find as well!

Found a new site first try the next field. Thought it was going to be great, and it was old, but man two patches died very fast. You dug the buckle frame, and I dug the guts an hour later. There's still a lot of area where we were, and another field that I am pretty sure has a site, so that is likely where we'll head tomorrow. When we got to the spot I thought for sure you had missed the big one but wasn't meant to be. Found a couple French size balls so maybe there's a site close, and we are right across from a settlement.

Congrats on the Sweet Relics, :icon_thumright: !
