Nice find! What is up with the swastika on it?

[TheGeorgiaCanuck]

Nice find! What is up with the swastika on it?

Before the Nazis, the swastika was a good luck symbol from the Indus Valley in ancient India. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

You can find it on tokens, etc from before the war. Notice the horseshoe, 4 leaf clover on this token? They are all good luck charms.

[natepen]

The swastika goes way back before Hitler took it over. The Nazi's reverted the sign as well so it's going the opposite direction.

[Dman]

Neat token

Awesome Token Chris!
Not listed in Richards database, though I found one quite similar in design from 'Harrys mens shop' Albany...
You should put yours into the database, it's a fine example
