Very Nice Rock!!! Ya done real well last year. Hopefully they keep getting better.

As a first year hunting don't have much to compare.... But 2016 will be my year! No killers but was excited to get a few as a newbie. I am definitely hooked!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452044526.909900.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452044562.407126.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452044585.759253.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452044609.987556.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452044735.084876.webp

DSC00808.webp I think I accidently found a bison kill site at work, in a creek that had flooded. I found most of a bison skull that came apart, teeth, part of another bison horn core and more broken grinding or hammerstones {at least they look like it} there are no natural rocks bigger than gravel in the creek.

Nice favorites boss!!!! Well 2015 was my first year looking, and it was good to me!! So most of my finds are my favorites :). Here they are ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452066075.259890.webp.
Hopefully 2016 will bring me a case of killers!! Wanting for that one painterX7 talks about when you find it... You just can't stop looking at it [emoji51]

Some nice ones posted Im sure others will post their favorites.
@ ghost77 for the 1st year you have done very well. Next time painter bends over to pick one up give him a nudge and grab it. Its who ever has it in hand is the finder ;)

I had a fantastic year its hard to pick favorites but crystal is at the top of list .

Good idea I might just have to try that lol

some nice finds well done :icon_thumright:

My son of 11 found this on his own, he really got into it. Finding this point helped. He says he would rather hunt points than fish. He likes to fish! I think this point really got him excited, me especially. The point looks resharpened because one edge looks to be smoothed. Happy Hunting!

Well I had a pretty good year but one piece stands out over the rest. this was my best pieceImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452306023.703020.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452306067.086054.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452306204.765634.webp

Looks like a great finds! Better picks would help. The lithic looks to be Elizabeth chert (P-wood)

Southfork when I grow up Ima gonna find a clear point. Always enjoy seeing those and all your other finds.

Thats a great find! Oh man hooked at an early age. Here is a little more information for him to go with his find. The point is called Prarie/Plains corner notch date range is 1600 to 700 BP. the lithic ( hard to tell from pic) looks like Trout Creek chert.

My past year was very lean. but here are the few,the proud and mine.:tongue3:DSCN2023.webpDSCN2024.webpDSCN1996.webpDSCN2016.webpDSCN2018.webpDSCN2085.webpDSCN2086.webpDSCN2087 (1).webp

Thanks for everyone chipping in (pun) intended :)

My favorites for 2015 of course is some pottery and two stone pieces. This is the first time I've found soapstone and I love it. There is the annual archaeology day the 23rd at our museum and I will be taking these to get input from our local experts.
