I really like seeing the themed threads and this one may have been done before. Here are two of my latest in situ pics. Feel free to post them like you find them!

I have been taking in situ pictures probably before some of the members here were born. This picture is a scanned photo of a point I found in 1976. Not the best quality image as it was taken with an inexpensive pocket film camera of the time. Added a recent pic of same point.

One of my all time favorite and find.
It was a hot July over 100 degrees and I was getting the skunk. I must of walked by this point at least 50 times. I’ve been hunting that property for over 10 years. Idk if it had been laying there the whole time but possibly. Then the sun came out from behind the clouds and I saw a glisten. Here is what I found.

I don’t want to hog your post but here’s another.
It’s my Avatar
Sometimes I find points that aren’t posed to be in my area.
I made it for everyone that wants to post, so have at it! You always have great finds so the more pics the better.

I usually get so excited finding a point that I snatch it up before I remember to take a pic, so those were my first in situs.

These are a couple I've taken, coupled to a few pic's of the areas and sights I saw where they were found. Sometimes I make a totem as an acknowledgement to those who once walked in the footsteps that I'm then walking.

That second picture is beautiful!

Here are a couple of pot sherds I found in SE New Mexico. They were found on a hill side that had obviously been occupied for generations as I found various styles of pottery; El Paso brown, Anasazi black on white, poly-chrome…Unfortunately, these are the only pictures of pieces in situ.

Well here’s one from last year. Once in a while I find points that aren’t in my area. I found this and immediately thought it was some kind of Dalton. Then I changed my mind to a Savannah River 1st stage cause I know someone who found some big SR points.
Well I sent Relic Grubber a PM and he said it was a Guilford. I did a little research and it just doesn’t show being found in my area. Guess what it is? It’s a Guilford, so I guess I owe RG an apology. You were correct it’s what you said it was. It’s in my special finds case right now. Thanks for the I.D. Relic Grubber.
