Looks like the front part of a Roman/Greek revival era 'Centurion' brooch. Late 19th - early 20th C.

DCMatt is on to something - the remnants of 4 prongs on the back make it look like a decorative cap.

Auto radiator emblem

HuntingDog is on the right track.. I haven't found the exact one yet but its most likely a radiator emblem off of a Graham Paige, 1920's or '30s.
