Any idea what material they will be using? I can't see putting our (taxpayers) money into a redesign and using something like Zinc that will just rot away within a couple of years.
Just my 2 cents.

I think it would be a travesty to change such an Iconic symbol.

I don't like the design in the least. Hope someone nixes it.

I think this design is for one year only 1909 and will be made of the same copper content as the original 1909 penny. In 2010 the penny will be released with a new back kind of like the change from the wheat to the memorial cent. I don't like the 2009 design much but hey it will probably go in the collection.
