Lisa & Jim have an Exellent Adventure!

Mona Lisa and I drove from Pennsylvania to Montana last week and we are enjoying the last weekend before I go back to work tomorrow and she starts school here in Montana in a few days. Today we had an excellent adventure!

We took a drive to the Rocky Mountain front and enjoyed a warm (45 degrees) and sunny day.



Mona Lisa by a great trout lake... frozen.



Here she is laughing at my flip-up sunglasses - Hey, I can't be cool 24/7.



Just some of the perfect scenes.





Along the trail... we stopped for a few pictures while walking above the river (not pictured).





... and 25 steps later we came upon a herd of Big Horn Sheep... there were two huge rams and a pile of mommas and young ones - our path took us between the rams and their families so we just stopped and enjoyed them. I took tons of pictures but the digital zoom was a big fail - so I'll just post a few pics. We spent 20 minutes within 30 yards of the rams in the open wild.

I like the borders around them. I'm sure I have that option SOMEWHERE, just too lazy to find it.

The (Rams/Sheep sorry I don't know those all that well?) normally let you get that close?

I guess so - at least these fellas (Big Horn Sheep) seemed okay with it. We decided to not hike between them and their herd though.

Hopefully all the grizzlies there feel the same way... lol.

Great Photos Jim. Reminds me of home.

Brian those sheep have caused a few accident's brother.
In Colorado, You could literally put your hand out the window driving by one and rake their side.
They can be a bit of a nuisance on the the roads leading to the infamous "Stanley Hotel" in Estes Park where we lived.
They enjoy licking the salt on the roads and finding some bare grass to munch on.
Just like the deer do there.

But, those photos are fantastic.
You and your wife seem like class act's Jim.

Excellent pics once again, MJ! Wish it would get up to 45 here in our part of the Rockies, but I guess it would be a disaster if it did right now. Hope y'all had a safe drive back from PA last week, considering the way the weather's been in the rest of the country.

a few road trips. . . the scenery out there is beyond amazing. . . but you
already know that
