Got back out for a couple hours before dark today. It has been a little slow going for me here lately as far as keepers.. Found a 1900 Indian and what I believe is a 18th cen. lady's hair pin. Or maybe for a hat? It is kind of neat. What leads me to believe it is colonial is because of the Dragon motif . I know that serpent motif's where a big thing in the period which leads me to think it is from that era.. But once again , not completely sure? If anyone knows I would like to hear from you. It's a knob to an oil lamp, and they are common finds on late 19th/early 20th century sites. I also believe that stick pin is from that same time period.
Very possible it could be from that period.. This place goes back to about 1788 as far as I know. Mostly find early to late 19th cen. stuff, and the occasional 18th period relics. The motif is what makes me think it is possibly 18th cen..but I really don't know.

Thanks for the comments and help..

The pressed brass & subject matter makes me think late 19th C, maybe a Hat Pin.
