Cool find!
It looks like some type of fossilized sea or plant life so it's been around a long long time. I love finding stuff like that and just imagining that dinosaurs were probably running around when that thing was alive.

Very cool rock. It's called a Geode (pronounced Ge - ode). We have lots of them in creeks & rivers around here in Illinois. That is an odd shape one, ours are round and looks like they had a bad case of the mumps. The insides sparkle when sun hit it just right.

My vote is that it is a Paleozoic fossil coral, such as a Rugosa-type coral. Google it. Nice find!

yeah, it looks kinda like horned coral i would occasionally find in Ga. Good catch for its size!
