We're finding so many pennies lately we've decided to call ourselves the Lincoln Locators.
We've spent a couple hours on each of the past several days at a nearby park with several ball fields. The park's a few decades old, and so far this has been the most productive spot for us. Plenty of trash in certain areas, but the fields themselves are largely clear of bottle caps and pop tops. Oldest finds so far have been 1970s but we'll keep at it.
We lucked out finding a spill that alone was about 3 quarters, a nickel and a couple pennies.
