The first few times I saw it, I thought it was out of order. But then I realized that the screen was functioning and only the reject tray was covered. What a joke. I guess someone at the store wants the rejects all to him/herself. There is a rip in the poster where people are pulling the poster back to check the bin. For the record, I checked and found nothing.

Anything is possible here. You should ask management. Certainly you have the right to check after you runs some coins.

Could be the poster placer had no clue they were covering a function almost every client needs. Or a sneaky idea by any person from the store or not.

After a talk with management I bet it goes buh bye. :)

After some thought, it's probably best to just leave it as is. There should be fewer people checking and it will increase my chances of finding something. :laughing7:

I'd run some nasty zincolns through it and then watch from the shadows to see if it is an employee ploy.

Actually it will likely determine coinstar customers, I have 1 worker in a supermarket I check daily every time she on duty an out of order sign is taped to the machine, but the screen is lite and all functions works after I checked them myself, so I just remove the out of order sign myself.

Some employee is likely trying to scam people using the machine.
