Long day today...

I've planned this hunt for over a week, mapped my route and finally set off this morning for my clad hunting adventure. Left the house at 6AM and returned at 3:50PM. I drove a total of 145 miles and barely made gas money, but had a great time digging!! I found a total of 219 coins with a face value of $15.94. No gold, no silver, but found another knife in a child's tot lot(shame). I posted a few of the odd pieces of junk I did find, but most just went to the recycle buckets! Broken down the coins are:

1 Jefferson Dollar
29 quarters
47 dimes
37 nickels
103 memorial cents
1 Canadian dime
1 Canadian cent!

I hit these spots about every six weeks and this is the fifth time and yet no gold, but as many kids that play there, someone has to drop something! But it was alot of fun!

I am surprised at the finds sometimes, not just me, but others finding knives, live rounds and huge steak knives. It is a good addition to my collection and out of a kids hands!!

it makes you wonder why people sometimes give you a hard time about detecting. if they only knew the kinds of things we find in school yards and play grounds they would freak out!

Hey Gregg, been to that big city five times and have 1055 coins valued at $53.50 in those five visits!! Its the best nickel and quarter counts there so far. I only hit it about once every six weeks, so hopefully it will keep producing!!

Wow that is great...what are you doing beating me to the punch? I see you removed your counter...mine disappears as soon as i get to my goal... Man that place must have been fun....was a tough week for me...pinpointer being sent in on Monday...erratic among other things....

With you closing in on 10,000 I have to hit these places to stay 3000 behind you...the counter just took too much time and made my post look too long! Sorry to hear about your pin pointer and where did those 100 coin dasy go?? under 1000 and cold weather is coming!! I'm still thinking you'll make 12,000 but you have to pick it up!!
