Nice silvers, but extraordinary medal! Research the name on there, it could get even better!

That's a really nice medal.

You did a great job of finding that medal and an even better job of cleaning it up. How did you clean it?

A little bit of lubricant and rub a little. (Just like sex)

Congrats on the silvers Mary, but that medal is definitely the star of your hunt! :occasion14:

I think you did an amazing job in cleaning it too! :goldmedalblue:

DANG WHAT A NICE FIND ...

That medal is sweet. the other finds are cool too

Are the cleaned pics your medal or a representation of what they look like? It is extraordinary. Nice coin finds too. Welcome to Tnet.

That's is a cool find!

Old dude,
I didn't clean it.

Excellent medal (and silvers)! I am confused, though. As OD asked, are the last two pictures of the medal (the "cleaned" versions) the medal you found or representative pictures off the internet of your medal?

I was confused too, until I expanded the photos. These are photos of two different medals. The OP's darkened medal was awarded to a Margaret Gilmartin, whereas the cleaned medal awarded to Helen Henchy. Both were for 1927. Great find!

Terpfan,
What does OP mean?

Welcome, and great find. Is that a Roman fasces? Cool!
