Been waiting for my first beach detecting day in 2025, and it was Great! Hunted a couple private beaches near Rye, New York, on the Westchester side of Long Island Sound. Three-hours of sun and fun. My Nokta Legend was smooth as silk, and my deepest silver tried to hide at around 14-inches (Three scoops!).

Nice haul! Were those from areas above the high tide line? I dug a bunch of silver coins at saltwater beaches in this area, and they are mostly dark gray and corroded looking. Your coins look great! Congrats.

I found one of the quarters and one of the dimes in the wet sand, and both were pretty black before I used a toothbrush and baking soda on them. I got most of it off. The others were found in the grassy part of the back yard where it meets the sand. I cleaned those as well, but all were in much better shape than the wet sand two. You can see the effect on the modern coins. I'll have to tumble those.

Some sweet silvers and a cool token kicker, congrats Terry!
I thought it was a token as well, but it's a French 10 Franc coin!

You mention a deep coin after three scoops. How many scoops do you dig for something before you give up on it?

Now that I have a lot of beach experience I almost never have to give up on a target, unless I'm chest deep and in a bad current or get a bad wave.

It looks like it was a great day in the sand Terry ! Congrats on those coins and especially the 7 silvers.
