I found this last eve. on a military outpost and stage stop in central Arizona. The earliest item ,that I know of, found on this site is a 1856 $5 gold. There has been a lot of military stuff found there and some civilian stuff. This brass lower gun frame and trigger guard was about 8" deep and gave a weak signal on the Vaquero and it was the only thing found yesterday. As near as I can tell the serial # is 15190. I'm relatively sure that this is over 100 years old, I know it is a long shot to find an identification but I'm throwing it out to you guys for help. Thanks in advance.
90% identified, 1860 colt army or 1851 colt navy!
