Nel Snake would be my first pick, The Nel Sharpshooper is a good coil also but I just love the little Snake.

Thanks for your advice guys! I think I'm going to go with the Nel Snake, it looks like it would be great for getting in the tight spots in river rocks where I've had a lot of luck in the past.

How about just sticking your pinpointer in those super tight spots?

Yeah that's what I've been doing and the ol carrots found a lot of gold silver and platinum, but I would like to get some discrimination so I don't end up spending 45 minutes digging out a hole for a handful of nails. Also there are a few real trashy spots where I've found good stuff, like an old smithy, where I think a smaller coil could really help.
