I,m new to this site but not to metal detecting, wondering if anyone can give me alittle help on this since its not on top of my wish list, Gold and Silver coins are.I found a horde of over 300 bottles,at a construction site near my house near Michigan Ave last April and need someone to professionally date them and price them, someone to contact, like you do with rare coins not shows which tend to want you to sell what you got right away at a deflated price. They seem to date from about 1860 to 1919.I have soda, beer, creamery, milk, medicine, ink, poison, perfume, embossed, colored, mason with what looks like zinc lids, clay fired jam jars and whiskey jugs, fancy pottery etc...Any help from someone from my state?Oh!!! by the way, have seen all the comments about are state parks, down in Ohio, I usually hang around the shore line from Toledo to Cleveland and down in Henry,Wood and Sandusky County plus Hancock County, State Parks are free!!! Metal Detecting is almost no regulation but don,t go leaving dinosaur type holes because that might change things down there.People don,t seem to care either, another words you won,t get pesterd my weird folks or nerdy kids like here in Michigan, also the restaurant food is alot better in Ohio!

PS Does anyone have an Electroscope from Thomas?Just checking to see who else has one in my area.

I had sent an email to that Kalamazoo bottle club over a week ago , they never sent me a reply, so they don,t care.April 7th, got an appointment to go to find the other half of a cache on this guys other land that he owns, found the other half back in January, we split 50 -50 plus he is contacting some friends of his that have farm houses thats over 100 years old.I live around the Detroit / Dearborn border, what area are you from?I don,t need the website for Electroscope, got the catalog back in December and just got my Gravitator, just want to see if somebody else owns one in the metro Detroit area.

If you still have those bottles, you may want to try Ebay to get rid of them.Depending on what you have you may be surprised. The bidders will let you know what they are worth in terms of their bidding. Many of what you described are collectible and there is a market for them. You can sell anything on Ebay, people will by anything on Ebay too.

PS-All you others on here from Michigan should be a little more welcoming to new members on this site, especially on this board! :( Your worse than Floridians. ::)

I guess I need to get on the computer more. I'll make a point of checking here, every Sunday night.
Sorry about that- I'm never intentionally rude.
Anyone with bottle or Michigan questions is welcomed to email me at bottldigr@aol.com, too.
