Some have identified them as going on a curtain rod. Big end goes over rod and the curtain hook in small hole.

I think 50bmg is on the right track. Maybe not from cannon fuse, but I think a pull ring. ...Maybe IS from a cannon! :dontknow:

Could be either of the responses above as far as I know. This was found in an area that started as a military artillery training camp, later became a prison camp and also was hit by 4 major floods. I have found both military relics and relics from old homes such as old door hinges and things like that all in the same field.

I knew this had just been posted recently, but didn't come on my site search. Did not mean to omit you.
The only reason I posted this one was for the link in it. Can anyone post a picture of a fuse pull ring with a small loop on it instead of a straight wire? I couldn't find one .
