Found this at place I've been hitting hard . There's a hotspot I've gotten on but my time is cut short due to only going on my lunch break. I will revisit . Anyway it's heavy , got that little loop. Brass or bronze I think. Any opinions

Almost looks like a tiny watch case, but the back doesn't seem like one. Definitely supposed to have something inside the ring part though, from the looks of it.
