A few nights ago my shop cat got out of my work shop. I've been searching the neighborhood and local woods. In the far back of the property I rent I spotted an oval sign on an iron post. It's was frozen into the ground. I got my detecting shovel out of the truck and started chipping away at the frozen ground. It's a railroad whistle / warning sign. I'm going to completely restore it. As of the posting the cat has not been found.

In our area of coastal CA, raccoons, coyotes & mountain lions eat cats, especially now since the massive drought has limited their natural prey. Andi
