Lost Siver Mine in the Union Mills/Silver Run area?

Anyone know anything about a lost silver mine in the area of Union Mills/Silver Run in Carroll County? Supposedly it was shown to a German silversmith named Ahrwud in the 18th century by local Indians. After he showed the location to his daughter, both were killed and the mine's entrance was hidden. It's purported to be located on Rattlesnake Hill, wherever that is. Anyway, it's the only lost mine in Maryland that I'm aware of.
