Lots of wind and a couple rings

Took a short trip to Va beach over the weekend just to "get away". It was cold and windy but at least it was sunny After I get my son all squared away on his ace I was off and running (or walking slow) which ever you prefer, I swinging my XLT never the less. Found a couple of cheap rings an ear ring some sinkers and a green army man and oh yea some clad. All in all a great trip.

The army man was plastic, I just happened upon it while I was walking the beach. Neither one of my little dudes have a log in "yet". Oddly enough they didn't do a whole lot of MDing they were busy doing everything else allthough they did find some clad and (they lost some clad) the beach givith and the beach takith away, oh well it was fun for them none the less.
It was pretty cool, me and ryan were out late one evening MDing and this family came up to us and asked if we would take their picture ,ryan agreed to do it. After he took the picture the guy gave him one of the new dollar coins, it looked brand new. I guess the guy figured thats what he was looking for.

No, it doesn't get any better than that. I sure didn't want to leave, but I'll be back I found a parking lot that is loaded with coins me and my son pulled a half a dozen in less than five minutes. Then it got dark and it was our last night. I don't think anybody ever hunted this lot before it was CRAZY with coin signals!

I lost my fishing, and detecting buddy to girls last year. Better to girls than....
Cherish all the times with him, so when he gives you up for girls you will have all the memories. (Just thoughts from an old dad.)
