2-8-11 Hi TN I went for a short hunt this afternoon, at this new site , my own front yard . Winds were gusting around 35 mph , freakin' brutal but I was able to find a few keepers . First digs were a beaded earring , a copper rose pin , & 4 shotgun shell tops . The real shocker was a dirty old pocket watch back , I didn't find the time piece and thought it was just another old watch back , nuthin fancy not gold . :dontknow: When I got it back home and cleaned it up it is :o "The Spirit of St Louis ". Charles Lindbergh's plane!!! Spirit of St. Louis , First flight across Atlantic , NY to Paris , in May 1927. Real exciting find and it cost me nothing in gas . Thanks for stopping in , CMDawg

Cool find!!! Lets see the back also Chug Thank you

Very cool find! America loved Lindbergh until the outbreak of the war. His pro-German leanings caused many to turn their backs on him.

Maybe that is why you only have the case, some one's hero let them down and they just junked it. :icon_scratch:

HH,
