Lumberjack Town Digs OLD Heart Pendant & 3 Buckles & More

This was a good day even if there were no old coins :'(

I hunted that old lumberjack town I've hunted before and found some nice relics and also some even better historical facts.

I met a man who knows the history of the area well. He told me I'm digging in an area that was the log storage field for the lumberjacks back in the 1870's to about the early 1900's.

Also he said there was a tragedy here in the early 1900's when a house they built here burned to the ground. This explains all the square nails and carcoals I dig.

The finds:

1. 1 heart pendant at about 8 inches deep

2. 3 Buckles very deep

3. Unknown button?

4. Unknown brass pointed object?

5. 1 horse shoe

6. many unknown iron objects a few shown here

It was a great hunt and Thurday I plan to hunt old foundations and maybe a few cellar holes.

See if you can ID that cone shaped pointed metal object in the 1st picture.

Thanks and happy hunting!

Thanks, dekalb! I was thinking that maybe it went to a wagon or something. Glad you noticed it.

Nice digs! The round item reminds me of bobbins that use to be in my Gma's old treddle sewing machine. Monty

Thanks Monty. This picture makes it look bigger than it really is. It's actually a shirt stud from ca. 1909.

Nope, nobody has figured it out yet. I've never seen anything like it before.

Thanks,
