Lunch time at old B&B

Took an hour or so at lunch time to go to the "hunted out" B&B I've been hitting the last couple days. Spent about an hour finishing up covering the front lawn and found this old bullet, old shotgun slug? not sure what it is exactly (any ideas??), just know I wouldn't wanna be hit with that chunk of lead...:) Also found an 1865 and 1899 Indian Head and two Buffalo nickels one a 1919 the other is too corroded to read a date.
That will be probably be it for the front area till next spring when I hit it again to see what the frost pushed up. On to the back, where an old barn was and sides of the place...:)

Looks good,

Those coins are in tough shape. They need tumbled or cleaned by me.

Nice bunch of digs.

Soak the coins in distilled water for a few months and they'll look great.

Re: Lunch time at old B&B

Jer and Badger...thats the way the coins came out of the ground, haven;t soaked them yet, but will.
Badger,, thanks for the input about the distilled water...have used it before, haven't really had much luck with it, but then again on my best day I have no patience and usually use heated peroxide and then scrub the copper coins, which seems to work faster than the distilled water soaks...I feel they are pretty much ruined anyway ( as for selling value, which I don;t sell any of my coin finds) so wanna clean them up best I can. I NEVER clean any of my silver coins, other than a quick, light rinse to get the dirt off.
